Insta-worthy coffee shops
There’s no better way to fuel your Galentine’s Day than with a picturesque cup of coffee. Middleton is home to multiple cute coffee shops that will have you and your gals swooning for a second cup. The aesthetic is everything at Grace Coffee Co. in downtown. You’ll find a stylish spot to sit and sip your latte here. Or, enjoy one of the café’s delectable baked goods while admiring the brightly colored murals. Also downtown is Barriques, where you can warm up with a cup of coffee by the fireplace or shop the café’s wide selection of local beer, wine, and spirits. Barriques is open later in the day and offers a full food menu, so it’s a great place to meet up for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
On the northeast side of town, you can grab a homemade scone, as well as breakfast or lunch from Prairie Café and Bakery. This local favorite offers ample seating surrounded by abundant natural light and stunning architecture inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s designs.

After sampling, enjoy a meal in the restaurant’s expansive dining room. Every menu item can be paired with a corresponding wine that has been carefully selected to enhance the flavor of every meal — or just order your favorite.
Barriques also offers a wide variety of wines by the bottle, which can be enjoyed in the cozy café or taken home. The downtown café is open until 7 p.m., Monday-Friday, and 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.
