It all started with a shelf of books. Nine decades ago, members of the Middleton Progressive Women’s Club donated a shelf’s worth of books that were made available to the public in a local department store. It was the start of something great. Today, Middleton is home to a modern and beautiful 10,000-square-foot library that offers rich resources and programming to the public. The Middleton Public Library’s collection includes more than 85,000 books and a digital collection of 175,000 items. It also has 47 computers that are online and available for public use.
