Earth Day is Monday, April 22, but we’re celebrating early (ARPIL 20TH) at Stone Horse Green — the outdoor community space (park) in downtown Middleton. We wanted to share more about our venue and what it’s made out of, so we are hosting a workshop on the stones of Stone Horse Green.
- Gathering: hear the fabled story of “Stone Soup”
- Stone Educational Program: learn about stones that make up Stone Horse Green and how the space was named; basic rock types and the rock cycle; and what different types of rocks were used for (construction, landscaping, arts, etc.)
- Fossil hunt: Explore the rocks around Stone Horse Green and see how many fossils you can find!
- Stone Jewelry: Make your own bracelet or necklace with stones
- Sunset Showing of Wall-E — see below! CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER, RESCHEDULED FOR APRIL 27

WALL-E Showing
There will be a free showing of the movie Wall-E at sunset, suggested arrival time is 7:30 p.m.
Willy Street Co-op will serve popcorn and other movie snacks, as well as hot chocolate. Bring your own mug, blanket or lawn chairs. Also, enter your name for an Earth Day prize!
