The city’s charm excites love birds, especially when it comes to its robust food scene. From Italian to Cajun to American, here are five romantic restaurants you and your date will love.

1847 at the Stamm House

Enjoy a mix of good food and deep history when dining at 1847 at the Stamm House. This historic building dates back to 1847, when it first served as a service station. Today, 1847 at the Stamm House stands as a beautifully restored showpiece that serves homemade meals and seasonal cocktails at reasonable prices. Whether looking for fresh fish, meat sourced locally and cooked to perfection, a heaping portion of pasta with a variety of sauce options, or a burger piled high with cheese curds on top, there’s something on the Stamm House’s menu for everyone. Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant

Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant is the place to go if your Valentine prefers the gift of wine. Here, you’ll feel as though you’ve left America’s Dairyland and entered Napa Valley’s Wine Country. At the front of the restaurant, guests are welcomed by a Napa-style tasting room, home to Cooper’s Hawk’s more than 60 different wines, many of which are award-winning. No matter what your date is craving, the menu will not disappoint. Choose from pasta to steak to salads to burgers and more. To improve the dining experience, each menu item has a corresponding bin number to pair with the appropriate wine. You won’t want to forget to spoil your Valentine with a sweet treat — Cooper’s Hawk has a variety of house-made desserts, including salted caramel crème brûlée, key lime pie, flourless chocolate torte and truffles.

From Friday, Feb. 9, to Monday, Feb. 19, Cooper’s Hawk & Restaurant is offering a special Valentine’s Day menu featuring a choice of surf and turf or stuffed lobster tails.

Craftsman Table and Tap

If good home cooking makes your date’s heart beat, take them to Craftsman Table and Tap, where you’ll enjoy a uniquely crafted twist on hearty, dinner classics. Whether ordering one of the soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, entrees or appetizers, every menu item at Craftsman’s Table and Tap is chef-crafted and made with fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. On Valentine’s Day, Craftsman Table and Tap is offering a special surf and turf snow crab and prime rib dinner for $42 per person. Make your reservation in advance, as spots will fill up fast.

Louisianne’s ETC.

Your date will certainly be taken back with a night out at Louisianne’s ETC., located in downtown Middleton. This Louisiana-styled restaurant is home to a beautiful French Quarter-style dining space with stone walls, chandeliers, hanging plants and an old European-style wine cellar. Louisiana’s ETC.’s Cajun and Creole dishes reflect what is seen on menus in the heart of New Orleans. Guests can choose from nearly 20 gourmet entrees, including traditional jambalaya and crawfish étouffée, all accompanied by fresh bread and house-made soup or salad.

Villa Dolce

You cannot go wrong when choosing authentic Italian food for date night, especially when it’s from Villa Dolce. Located in the heart of downtown Middleton, in the historic Weinberg-Schroeder building, this modern Italian café offers an intimate dining experience. Villa Dolce is known for their Italian-style, thin-crust pizzas, which feature unique flavor combinations. The restaurant also serves seasonal pasta dishes, calzones, salads, and various entrees. Make sure to stop by the front dessert case before leaving for a scoop or two of homemade gelato.
