Here are five ways to have fun while staying fit in Middleton:

Winter walks

Middleton is home to more than 27 miles of multi-use trails that are perfect for a winter stroll. Middleton’s trail system includes trails made with porous asphalt, an eco-friendly sustainable material.

Snowshoeing

Snowshoeing is welcome on park and Pheasant Branch Conservancy trails and there will also be a designated snowshoe trail at the CXC Outdoor Recreation & Sports Center (which broke ground fall 2021), located near Pleasant View Golf Course. In order to protect the revitalized prairie landscape in the conservancy, snowshoeing is not allowed off trails and cross-country; it is also not allowed on the golf course.

Cross-country skiing

Middleton’s beautiful Pleasant View Golf Course has some of the region’s best cross-country ski trails. There are four loop trails to explore, each with varying degrees of difficulty. The trails are free and there’s a clubhouse that’s open for the public to use as a warming house.

Healthy dining

Middleton’s 70 restaurants offer fresh and light dining options that are perfect for people on the move. From Mediterranean to Italian, you’ll find a world of healthy culinary options in Middleton.
