The Middleton Trolley is back, bigger and better than ever!
The brand new trolley is black with gold trim, the elegant new trolley is branded with the unmistakable look of the Middleton Tourism Commission. It will become a long-term fixture in Middleton, now that the city (on behalf of the tourism commission) has entered into a five-year contract with Badger Bus to make this a long-term service for visitors.
The new trolley is also accessible to those with disabilities, keeping in line with the mission It’s Easier Here in Middleton. It even features an interior video display highlighting various stops and businesses throughout Middleton, providing riders a glimpse into all there is to do and see in the Good Neighbor City during their ride.
The route itself has also been modified for 2015, based on feedback from last season’s riders, broadening to a 30-minute loop that now travels as far east as Branch Street and includes new grocery and pharmacy stops. The trolley begins its new expanded service schedule April 6 through November 30, running Mondays through Thursdays, 5:30pm to 10:30pm, Fridays 5:30pm to 11:30pm and Saturdays 3:00pm to 11:00pm.
As always, the trolley remains free to visitors and residents, and is funded entirely through Middleton Tourism Commission revenue generated by hotel room tax. No general funds from the city are used.
