Cheer on your favorite team at one of Middleton’s local bar and grill restaurants. With great food and drink options and plenty of screens, these locations are sure to offer the ultimate sports game-watching experience.

Thinking of taking the party home? Carryout is available at many of these restaurants, with a few offering take-home brew packs.


Middleton Sport Bowl

Location: 6815 University Ave.

Hours: Monday-Thursday: 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.; Friday-Saturday: 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.; Sunday: 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.

You can watch your favorite sports teams compete at Middleton Sports Bowl. This multi-level sports bar is home to multiple flat-screen TVs and 10 bowling lanes, so you can play a round in between watching sports games. Plus with breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, you won’t have to miss a thing.


Mid Town Pub

Location: 2405 Allen Blvd.

Hours: Daily: 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Mid Town Pub is Middleton’s lakeside neighborhood bar and grill. Stop by for weekly dinner specials, including their award-winning fish fry. Enjoy a refreshing adult beverage; choose from the pub’s 10 draft lines, more than 100 different bottles of beer, and more than 200 spirits. On Sundays, you can become a mixologist with their expansive Bloody Mary bar. Choose from more than two dozen mixes, and add your own garnish for the perfect game-day pairing.


The Village Green

Location: 7508 Hubbard Ave.

Hours: Daily: 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.; Kitchen closes at 10 p.m.

The Village Green is a Middleton staple and the perfect spot to watch any game. There are several flat-screen TVs throughout the bar and delicious burgers to keep you full. Keep an eye on their Facebook page as they often have parties to celebrate certain games. This includes Packers Parties, where you can enjoy free touchdown shots and $15 bottomless drafts of select beers for the duration of the game.


Craftsman Table & Tap

Location: 6712 Frank Lloyd Wright Ave.

Hours:  Monday-Thursday: 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Friday: 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.; Saturday: 9:30 a.m. – 10 p.m.; Sunday: 9:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Whether crafted right here in Dane County, across America, or around the globe, Craftsman Table & Tap brings the best in craft beer and offers a menu designed to reflect hearty rustic home cooking. Head to Craftsman for their “Wisconsin Happy Hour,” where you can enjoy unique cocktails or Saturday and Sunday brunch from 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. Or create a special experience and rent out their upstairs party room, complete with a full bar, tv’s and doors to access the rooftop space. They will be closed during the big game on 2/9/25.


Monk’s Bar & Grill

Location: 8318 Murphy Dr.

Hours: Monday-Thursday: 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.; Friday-Saturday: 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.; Sunday: 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Take in some Sunday football, spring training games or tournament basketball at Monk’s, where you’ll find plenty of big-screen TVs, a welcoming atmosphere, great food and daily drink specials.


Nitty Gritty

Location: 1021 N. Gammon Rd.

Hours: Monday-Friday: 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.; Saturday: 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.; Sunday: 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.

The Nitty Gritty offers excellent food and drink specials every day of the week. Stop by on your birthday for a free memento mug plus free refills of tap beer, birthday cocktails or soda.


Paul’s Neighborhood Bar

Location: 2401 Parmenter St.

Hours: Monday-Saturday 7-2 a.m.; Sunday: 7 a.m.-11 p.m.

This local bar and grill is a place for everyone, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. Every Friday night, you can catch an all-you-can-eat fish fry; Saturday during the winter, you can compete in a meat raffle; and Sundays offer a special prime rib breakfast. There are 14 TVs available to watch your favorite teams compete.


Tanner’s Bar & Grill

Location: 2259 Deming Way

Hours: Monday-Thursday: 11 a.m.-11 p.m.; Friday-Saturday: 11-12 a.m.; Sunday: 11 a.m.-10 p.m.

Stop by for a bite and a beer at this friendly neighborhood sports bar and grill, where you can enjoy a menu filled with classic sandwiches, “boogas” (burgers), fish, soups, salads, and more.


The Free House Pub

Location: 1902 Parmenter St.

Hours: Sunday-Wednesday 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.; Thursday-Saturday 11 a.m.- Midnight

Get cozy at this downtown gastropub that offers an expansive beer, wine, cocktail, and whiskey menu and a variety of food — from salads to sandwiches to Friday Fish Fry. Sporting events are broadcasted throughout their restaurant. When the weather warms up, grab a seat (and a bite!) on their outdoor patio.


Location: 7545 Hubbard Ave.

Hours:  Sunday-Monday: 3 – 10 p.m.; Tuesday-Saturday: 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.; kitchen closes at 9 p.m.

A combination cafe, bottle shop and tasting room that brings a communal experience to craft beer and food. Longtable offers 300 brews in their self-serve open cooler and 12 rotating tap beers. The food menu is crafted from artisan meats, cheese and local produce. Carryout is available. Watch the game at the bar or stock up on craft brews from the self-serve cooler to bring to an at-home viewing party.
