Stop 29 – Sea the World art bus shelter
About
Artist: Xizhou Xie in partnership with the City of Middleton Public Arts Committee
Location: Parmenter Street near Lisa Lane (East), located in front of 3207 Parmenter Street
Description:
XiZhou’s art is known for its bold colors, rich textures, and dynamic designs that invite viewers to experience more than just visuals.
Her work reflects her journey as a first-generation immigrant, drawing on experiences that blend multiple cultures. Through her paintings, Xizhou explores the tension between identity, tradition, and change, creating pieces that speak to both the past and the present. Every artwork is a personal reflection of the complex worlds she moves through.
The Sea the World bus shelter is one of ten locations along Metro Transit routes that feature artwork by Dane County artists. The project is intended to highlight, encourage, and promote local artists by giving them exposure in the public realm while also compensating them for their work. These shelters are stops 21 – 30 on the Middleton Outdoor Art Trail and can be seen while driving from each Art Trail location. View all of the stops here.
