Medium: Painted mural made of Polytab fabric and metal

Artist: Alicia Rheal and Amy Zaremba, with Dane Arts Mural Arts, with the help of Memorial High School Quest program students and Lussier Center students

Location: Lycon Inc. just before the Smoothie King on 2019 Deming Way

Artist description: Commissioned by Lycon Inc. in 2020, this mural was created through the collaboration of the Quest Program students from Memorial High School and participants from the Lussier Center, with a total of 28 students involved in the project at the Lussier Community Center as part of Dane Arts Mural Arts (DAMA). The original preparation took place at the DAMA shop using Polytab fabric, where the mural was pieced together, and wings were glued to a metal structure. The design was crafted by Alicia Rheal and Amy Zaremba. This beautiful mural is visible from the sidewalk and the parking lot of Smoothie King. Please avoid walking directly up to the mural as it is on private property. A YouTube video of the artwork’s creation is available here.
