Middleton Hills Park, South
About
This 6.4-acre neighborhood park features a boardwalk that meanders north through a wetland area. There is also a hiking trail east through an oak woodland, which connects to the Pheasant Branch Conservancy West Trail. The park contains a boardwalk and hiking trails that are part of the Middleton Hills Wetland Conservancy Area. This area is popular with birdwatchers and is a stop-over for seasonally migratory waterfowl. Since the park is a haven for salamanders, it’s possible to see them crossing the road into the conservancy area. Also on site is an outdoor shelter, drinking water, an open play area, sand volleyball court, youth soccer field and play equipment areas. Bike parking and on-street parking is available.
