Middleton Bike Park & Pump Track

Middleton Bike Park

Explore Middleton by trail on the Middleton Bike Park!

The Middleton Bike Park is open to the public and has trails for the beginner (Fairway trail) as well as the experienced rider (Mulligan and Slice), with jumps and challenging obstacles and an advanced climb (Chipshot). The jump line is a series of four tabletops located at the eastern end of the property and the skills area is a selection of elevated “skinnies” located just below the jump line. Park maps and trail conditions are available through the City of Middleton’s Park & Rec department. There are almost four miles of single-track trails.

The new trailhead for the park is located at 4351 Schwartz Road. This network of mountain biking trails was built in 2010 in partnership between the City of Middleton and Capital Off Road Pathfinders (CORP) as part of an expansion of the Middleton parks system and are managed by the City of Middleton Parks & Recreation Department

The trails are free, open year-round and are a popular regional mountain biking destination. The trails connect to Blackhawk Ski Club Trails (membership required).

Pump Track

The Pump Track at Middleton Bike Park is the largest in the region and one of the largest in the state of Wisconsin. It opened spring 2024 and contains 15,000 square feet of space and 455 linear feet of ride lines and features seven berms, 21 rollers and one Wood Wall Ride feature.

The Pump Track is also a collaborative effort between the City of Middleton Parks & Recreation Department, CORP and Dane County Parks.

Please be courteous to neighbors and other park users by observing the following guidelines:

  • For your safety, keep moving or move off the track
  • Be courteous to others
  • Wear a properly fitted helmet at all times
  • Please ride on pavement
  • Do not walk or ride on the grass inside the track
  • No night riding
  • No loud music

The Middleton Bike Park and Pump Track are part of the City of Middleton parks system and fall within regular park hours: open 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. This park does not have lights so do not ride after dark, even if the park is technically still open.

The trailhead to the Middleton Bike Park has a large paved parking lot and there are picnic tables and bench seating, as well as portable restrooms. There are currently no water fountains, so please bring your water bottles.
