Stop 30 – Bouquet art bus shelter

About

Artist: Julie Vornholt in partnership with the City of Middleton Public Arts Committee

Location: Century Avenue near Parmenter Street (South), located in front of 3311 Parmenter Street

Description:
Julie Vornholt has been painting since she could hold a paintbrush and hasn’t stopped yet. After earning a B.F.A. in Painting from Herron School of Art + Design in Indianapolis, she moved to Madison, WI where she paints just about everyday. Her murals are about creating an environment lush with nature and graphic elements mixed in. All of her work is free handed which allows the art to grow and remain natural. Julie is also the artist behind the Sunshine and The Good Neighbor City mural at Greenway Station and the flower bus stop shelter.

The Bouquet bus shelter is one of ten locations along Metro Transit routes that feature artwork by Dane County artists. The project is intended to highlight, encourage, and promote local artists by giving them exposure in the public realm while also compensating them for their work. These shelters are stops 21 – 30 on the Middleton Outdoor Art Trail and can be seen while driving from each Art Trail location. View all of the stops here.
