Nine Hotels to choose from
Middleton’s Marriott West, Hilton Garden Inn, and Courtyard by Marriott, have considerable rentable space for smaller events like anniversaries, birthdays and graduation parties. The Holiday Inn Express also has a reserveable meeting room.
Eight off-site locations to try
When planning your event, whether it be a board meeting, small gathering, or retirement party, here are eight locations to consider throughout the city.
Capital Brewery & Bier Garten: The Bier Stube and the Grain Room are two indoor spaces at the brewery with a private bar, AV and easy access to begin a guided tour of the location. They each have a capacity of 50 and can be rented out for parties, meetings, group tours and group cheese and beer pairings – they can also be combined for larger parties. The outdoor bier garten is also rentable for much larger parties.
Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant: In addition to being a fantastic restaurant and wine tasting bar, Cooper’s Hawk has a convenient side room that can be sectioned off for gatherings.
Craftsman Table & Tap: This restaurant is known for its cheese curds and bar but the upstairs private room and patio are perfect for smaller gatherings, meetings and parties.
Frostwood Farms: Highlighted in the past for its engaging “give back” lasagna class that can be set up for groups, Frostwood Farms also rents its space out for private events, including board meetings, which can also be catered.
Hidden Cave Cidery: The local cidery was opened 2018 with a delightful tasting room and more rustic outdoor patio area. The indoor area could easily be turned into a cocktail lounge with high tops and a small stage. The owner also works with quite a few food trucks, local entertainers, and businesses for their own events and could easily work with a planner on an event.
Holy Wisdom Monastery: This tranquil spot just outside of Middleton calls to the quietest of souls for a scenic and calming retreat. The monastery has beautiful gardens, large meeting spaces, and even has on-site sleeping accommodations.
Lake View Park: The City of Middleton rents the Lake View Park indoor/outdoor shelter for everything from weddings to anniversary parties to yoga classes and seminars. There is a kitchen, as well as AV, and guests can walk around the beautiful pond during breaks. This is one of the city’s most popular venues so planning ahead is key.
The Middleton Nordic Center: Set to open this July, the Middleton Nordic Center, located at the CXC Outdoor Community Center, was built with flexibility in mind. Used as a cross-country ski lodge during the winter, the large gathering room, overlooking beautiful, untouched farmland, was created to also host gatherings up to 50 at round tables, with AV, food prep stations, a fireplace and parking. There is not catering at the site, but any local caterer could assist as it is located minutes from the city, right next to the Pleasant View Golf Course.
