Middleton Galentine’s Getaway Ideas
Galentine’s Day is just around the corner, and Middleton is ready to celebrate. Check out these gal inspired getaway ideas.
Calling all gal pals, sisters, and mother-daughter duos — Galentine’s Day (Feb. 13) is almost here and Middleton is ready to celebrate. Whether looking for a place to meet up over a glass of wine or a cup of coffee, spend the day shopping together or soak in some self-care and relaxation, here are some ways to celebrate in Middleton.

Insta-worthy coffee shops
There’s no better way to fuel your Galentine’s Day than with a picturesque cup of coffee. Middleton is home to multiple cute coffee shops that will have you and your gals swooning for a second cup. The aesthetic is everything at Grace Coffee Co. in downtown. Find a stylish spot to sit, sip your latte, and enjoy delectable baked goods while taking in the brightly colored murals by artist Julie Vornholt that adorn the walls. Also downtown is Barriques, where you can warm up with a cup of coffee by the fireplace or shop the café’s wide selection of local beer, wine, and spirits. Barriques stays open later in the day and offers a full food menu, so it’s a great place to meet up for breakfast, lunch or dinner. If you’re more of a tea person, Le C’s Patisserie & Tea House has hand-crafted milk teas that pair well with their Asian inspired baked goods.
On the northeast side of town, you can grab a homemade scone, as well as breakfast or lunch from Prairie Café and Bakery. This local favorite offers ample seating surrounded by abundant natural light and stunning architecture inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s designs.
If you’re spending the day shopping at Greenway Station, Candy Cloud is a beverage shop where you can explore seasonal coffees like a cookie butter latte or blueberry matcha tea. This quick service allows visitors to grab a drink and get right back to the outdoor shopping center.

Try something new
Get creative with your best friends and take a new class. Dongzhu Pottery Studio is offering one-night pottery classes on Feb. 8, 15, and 22, making it the perfect way to shape some memories (and a clay masterpiece) together. Or, sweeten the deal with a class from Miggy’s Bakes, where you’ll learn new cake-piping skills and decorate your own cake to take home—available on Feb. 4, 12, 13, and 18. Whether you’re crafting or cake-decorating, Middleton has the perfect way to celebrate your crew!

Shopping, shopping and more shopping
From one-of-a-kind boutiques in the city’s vibrant downtown to name-brand stores in Greenway Station, there’s so much shopping to be done in Middleton. You and your gal pals can shop for chic new clothing, one-of-a-kind art pieces, handmade jewelry, and so much more. Middleton is home to more than 50 shops and boutiques, so to fit it all in, you might have to make it a two-day shopping spree. The best part of Middleton’s shopping is that it’s conveniently located near ample free parking and completely walkable.

A spot for sipping local hard cider
If sipping on hard cider is more your speed, you’ll love Hidden Cave Cidery. Not only will you and your gals adore the cozy and nicely decorated tasting room, but you’ll also enjoy the cidery’s unique flavors made with Wisconsin apples and sweetened with local ingredients. Besides offering the traditional hard apple cider, the owner of Hidden Cave Cidery is constantly producing new and fun limited-time flavors, like Tropical Lush, Strawberry Ciderita, Honeysuckle French Toast, and more, so from week to week, the tap list never looks the same.
