The annual (Inter)National Mustard Day festival returns Saturday, Aug. 6. Come celebrate the day on which we pay homage to the King of Condiments. Hubbard Avenue, in  front of the National Mustard Museum in Middleton, will rock with hot dogs and bratwursts, mustard tastings, live music and mustard games for kids of all ages.

Events kick off at 10 a.m. and run to 4 p.m.! Click here for the full schedule, more details and how to get a T-shirt with this year’s slogan on it!

10 a.m.: OVERTURE with The Blue Accordion
10:30 a.m.: Opening Ceremony with Dr. Mustard
11 a.m.: Black Star Drum Line
Noon-4 p.m.: Music by The Dawg Bones
11:15 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m.: Kids Are People Too! (three interactive family shows)
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Meet the Mustard Makers
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: GAMES on Hubbard Avenue, including the new Hubbard Avenue Diner Pie Walk
***Don’t forget, this year Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream Co. created MUSTARD ICE CREAM for sale!

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the City of Middleton Parks and Rec department is teaming up with the Middleton Area Historical Society to provide “Take a Trip Around Downtown Middleton” — an educational and fun scavenger hunt.

Pick up a passport at the Rowley House Museum (on Hubbard Avenue, not far from the National Mustard Museum) before adventuring across Downtown Middleton. Your trip will take you to well known locations BUT your only clue will be old photographs of what the buildings used to look like… can you figure it out?

Once you have filled in the blanks of your passport, bring it back to the Rowley House for Culvers tokens and refreshments! There will be a raffle drawing the following Tuesday for three winners! More information on that to come.
