A Beer, A Bite and a Brewery – Destihl Brewery (Virtual)

Here we are at the start of a new month in snowy Wisconsin. We can see the warm weather ahead, but until then, if you’re looking for something fun to do with others, our virtual tastings are the perfect antidote to the cold winter weather coming up.

Our next tasting on Thursday, February 11th, is with our long-time friends at Destihl Brewery in Central Illinois. We have been fans and supporters of Destihl since they came to Madison around 10 years ago.

DESTIHL was founded on the promise of supporting flavor and boycotting bland. They are an independent, production brewery that was established in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois to brew beyond the confines of typical beers.

Their team combines centuries-old global brewing traditions and new American craft brewing ingenuity & artisanship to produce a wide array of beers for every palate. The result is a diverse offering of intensely flavorful beers that are anything but bland, from their award-winning WiLD SOUR Series, barrel-aged Saint Dekkera® Reserve Sour Ales and Dosvidanya® Russian Imperial Stout, to their many Belgian-style beers, IPA’s, other wood-aged beers, classic styles and exciting seasonals.

We will be joined for the tasting by one of the brewers and rep Gio Troia to talk about their huge success with their Wild Sour series, expansion a few years ago, barrel program and more!
