Transportation Plan Open House

The City of Middleton is inviting residents, businesses, and visitors to help shape the future of transportation by reviewing the draft Active Transportation Plan and providing feedback through a series of public engagement opportunities this summer.
The draft Active Transportation Plan provides a long-term vision for improving walking, biking, rolling, and transit throughout Middleton. The plan identifies opportunities to make it easier, safer, and more convenient for people of all ages and abilities to travel throughout the community while supporting a transportation network that better connects neighborhoods, parks, schools, businesses, and community destinations.
The City developed the draft plan to help guide future investments in sidewalks, shared-use paths, bicycle facilities, crossings, and transit connections. Community feedback will help refine the plan and establish priorities for future improvements.
Residents are encouraged to participate in one or more of the following public engagement opportunities:

Visit the City of Middleton booth to review the draft plan, ask questions, and share your ideas with project staff.
Open House:

Both open houses will offer opportunities to learn more about the draft plan, review proposed recommendations, and provide feedback to help shape the final document.
Residents who are unable to attend an in-person event can review the draft plan and complete the online survey between July 16 and August 16.

Public input gathered throughout the engagement process will help refine the final Active Transportation Plan before it is presented to the City for future consideration. The plan will serve as a roadmap for future transportation improvements that enhance safety, accessibility, connectivity, and mobility throughout Middleton.

Historic Downtown Middleton Stroll ‘N Tell
Learn about Middleton’s history by taking a stroll with retired City Administrator and former Middleton Area Historical Society board member Mike Davis. There are several Stroll N’ Tell’ s throughout the summer, all from 10 a.m. – 11:45 a.m (full list of dates below). The tours are leisurely strolls and are free. All will start from and end at the Rowley House, 7410 Hubbard Avenue (on-street parking available), which will be open at least one-half hour prior to stroll time.…
