The Eredita Ensemble presents a matinee concert and reception from 4 – 5:30 p.m., June 13, at St.Luke’s Lutheran Church, featuring 2024 Avery Fisher Career Grant winner and Wisconsin native, violinist Julian Rhee.
The Eredita Ensemble, formed in 2025, brings together former students of Middleton residents Gene Purdue and Sally Chisholm to honor the shared heritage of their pedagogy. They perform an eclectic mix of folk, popular, and classical music for string ensembles. This year’s program will feature Ysaye, performed by Julian Rhee, the Holberg Suite, and several transcriptions for string Orchestra. Performers include Annaliese Kowert, David Huntsman, Zou Zou Robidoux, and of course, our teacher Gene Purdue.
