Join Sustainable Textile Designs at Blue Bar Quilts from 10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 8 for a quilting workshop on Sashiko Basics.
In Japan, running stitches made by hand are used for quilting, mending, and decorative purposes. Durning this workshop, participants will use a pre-printed traditional design sashiko panel to learn this running stitch embroidery style. A great technique that can be used in many applications, modern and traditional, to add texture and beauty to all your sewing and quilting projects.
A kit is included in the class fee and includes a sashiko sampler panel, thread, and needle. Please bring small scissors or snips and a thimble if you use one.
