Willy St. Co-op Cooking Class: Elements of Italian Gumbo

Join Steffery from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on April 16, at Willy St. Co-op West to learn how to make elements of gumbo.

Explore the history, culture, and foods that made Louisiana a true melting pot. We will go by ingredients and/or culture, sampling foods that contributed to the main dish of the state, Gumbo. On the menu: Olive Salad and Make-Your-Own Mini Muffulettas, Bordelaise, and Fig Cookies. Everyone will make an Italian seasoning packet to take home. Laissez les bon temps rouler.

Recipes contain: eggs, wheat, dairy, shellfish.

Ages 13+. $30 for co-op members/owners and $40 for non-owners.
