Friends of Urban Nature (FUN) – Prairie Plants & Birds

Join Friends of Pheasant Branch education coordinator Tim Hansel for a free family friendly walk at Pheasant Branch. Enjoy seeing and learning about the beautiful prairie plants of all shapes and sizes! Help look and listen for Meadowlarks, Bobolinks and other prairie nesting birds! Try using the Seek app and Merlin Bird ID to identify some prairie plants and birds and learn more about them.
FUN (Friends of Urban Nature) events occur on the 4th Saturdays of the month from 1:30-3 p.m.
No need to register. Meet-up location is: 4864 Pheasant Branch Rd parking lot. Meet at the encampment historical marker.
