Join Chef Mike from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 14 at Willy St. Co-op to learn how to cook with coconut milk.
October is Fair Trade Month and Chef Mike is zooming in on some of his favorite Fair Trade items. In this class, put some coconut products from Native Forest to good use. We’ll begin with a coconut curry soup, rich and spicy with tofu and mushrooms, then we’ll make some peanut sauce to serve with crispy chicken over cilantro lime rice, and finally satisfy your sweet tooth with a rich and silky smooth coconut crème caramel.
Demonstration with limited hands-on opportunities.
Recipes contain: soy, peanuts, sesame, eggs.
Ages 12+. $30 for co-op members/owners and $40 for non-owners.
