Join for a celebration of Eugene Purdue and Sally Chisholm with the eredita ensemble composed of their current and future students at 4 p.m., Saturday, June 13 at St.Luke’s Lutheran Church.
This concert features a special guest: Julian Rhee
Winner of the coveted 2024 Avery Fisher Career Grant, Korean-American violinist Julian Rhee has been recognized for his refinement, beauty of sound, and “the kind of poise and showmanship that thrills audiences” (The Strad).
The Eredita Ensemble is comprised of current and former students and friends of Gene and Sally. After a successful first concert last summer, they have decided to make it annual event.
Julian, a friend of Sally and Gene’s will perform Eugene Ysaÿe’s amazing “Ballade”. There will also be a few short chamber works on the program, and the string orchestra of Eredita Ensemble will perform Gluck/Kreisler, Bacewicz, and Grieg, with Eugene Purdue.
Free will donations are encouraged, and please stick around for a beautiful reception to connect with performers and the community.
