Join Steffery from 6 – 8 p.m. on June 12 at Willy St. Co-op West to learn how to make elements of gumbo.
Explore the history, culture, and foods that made Louisiana a true melting pot. We will go by ingredients and/or culture, sampling foods that contributed to the main dish of the state, Gumbo. Join Steffry to discuss the traditions and history that make Louisiana what it is today. On the menu: Creamy Cajun Pasta, Boudin Balls, and Smothered Chicken and Rice. Everyone will make a packet of Cajun seasoning to take home as well! Laissez les bon temps rouler. Recipes include: milk, tree nuts, and wheat. Demonstration with limited hands-on opportunities.
Ages 13+. $30 for co-op members/owners and $40 for non-owners.
