Wisconsin Governor’s Tourism Stewardship Award

At the 2012 Wisconsin Governor’s Conference on Tourism, the Middleton Tourism Commission was awarded the Governor’s Tourism Stewardship Award. The award recognizes Middleton’s commitment to sustainability, from the city’s many Travel Green certified hotels to the award-winning community trail system. Money Magazine’s Best Places To Live

In CNN Money’s 2011 Best Places to Live, Middleton ranked #8. The 2011 honor comes after Middleton was named #7 on this same list in 2005, #1 in 2007 and #4 in 2009, also years in which CNN Money ranked small communities. Top-notch Parks and Trails

In 2007, the trails, boardwalks and bridges at the Pheasant Branch Conservancy won the Wisconsin Park & Recreation Award of Excellence. Medal-winning Beer 

At the U.S. Open Beer Championships in Atlanta, the Capital Brewery won gold medals in the American Premium Lager category for its recently released Supper Club and in the Bock category for its Capital Mai Bock. The brewery also won bronze medals in the German Lager/Pilsner category for its Capital Pilsner; in the Marzen/Oktoberfest category for its Capital Fest; and in the Doppel/Strong Bock category for its Eisphyre.
