Fall Travel Itinerary
There's a lot to do in the Good Neighbor City this fall. Here are just a few of the must-sees, must-eats and must-dos that Middleton has to offer. One day just isn't enough, but if all you have is the one day, here's a fabulous way to spend it!
7am: Arrive in Middleton
7:15am – Breakfast – Swing by one of Middleton's breakfast hotspots,
like the classic Hubbard Avenue Diner or the Prairie Café and Bakery.
Find fresh baked goods at C's Bakery and Coffee Shop or Scott's Pastry.
You're going to need fuel for a fast-paced fling through Middleton!
8am – Fall Bike Ride – Did you bring your bicycle? Middleton is home
to an award-winning trail system. You'll find trails running throughout
Middleton. Plus, the city's side streets are generally quiet and ideal for
bicycling. Residents in the Good Neighbor City are used to seeing
bicyclists. The highlight of bicycling in Middleton is the trail loop that
runs through the Pheasant Branch Conservancy. This 550-acre nature
area preserves wetlands and freshwater springs that are important to
the health of area lakes and water supplies. It's the ideal place to enjoy
autumn scenery.
10am – Spa, Anyone? After a relaxing ride on Middleton's trails, it's time for more relaxation at one of Middleton's excellent
spas. Massages, nail treatments, facials – you'll find a full range of spa services. Get rejuvenated so you have plenty of energy
for the rest of the day ahead.
11am – Shopping & Museums in Downtown Middleton – Take some time before lunch to shop and explore the unique retailers of
downtown Middleton. Drop by the one and only National Mustard Museum & right next door the historic old train depot. The depot houses both the visitors center and the new Middleton Historical museum annex! You'll find a mix of historic and modern, the eclectic and the traditional.
Noon – Lunch at Greenway Station – Just west of
downtown Middleton, you'll find Greenway Station,
a fresh new take on the old-fashioned shopping mall.
Outdoor walkways, trellises, fountains and other unique
landscape features make shopping and dining a pure delight.
Restaurants include Johnny's Steakhouse, Claddagh Irish
Pub, Bucatini and Cheeseburger in Paradise.
1pm – Shop, Shop, Shop – Okay, okay, this tour of
Middleton isn't leaving much breathing room—but there's
so much to do! And now it's time to shop, shop, shop!
Greenway Station offers a wide variety of quality retailers.

long list of quality stores to choose from. An truly outstanding place to

3:30pm – World-Class Brewery Tour – The Capital Brewery in
Middleton has a reputation for brewing some of the world's finest ales
and lagers. Take a tour of the brewery where barley, hops, yeast and
water become some of America's most award-winning beers. Tours
available Friday at 3:30pm and Saturday at 1:30 and 3:30pm.
5pm – Dinner Time – Middleton has a fantastic array of dining options
– Italian, Chinese, Mexican or good old fashioned American diner fare.
Several restaurants, such as Louisianne's, are wildly regarded as one of the
region's top restaurants. Whatever restaurant you choose, you're sure to
enjoy a meal to remember in Middleton.
7pm – Relaxing Nightlife – There's no shortage of nightlife in Middleton. Catch a live band at a popular venue like the
Club Tavern. Or, sip a cup of coffee or a glass of wine at Barrique's Wine Shop/Coffee Trader. You'll have no trouble finding a
way to unwind from your day of fun in Middleton.
9pm – Bedtime – Nobody wants a good day to end. So, stay in Middleton! The hotels of Middleton are the area's best and
most comfortable. Middleton is the ideal place to stay when visiting the Madison and
area attractions like the University of Wisconsin campus and the State Capitol. Why
